Cornucopia Modus
02:37
|
|||
Verse 1
In the age of the time old merry men,
Where a city of the gnome resides.
Overrun by bamboozled chemicals,
You can run but you sure can’t hide.
Chorus
Cornucopia Modus,
I know why,
The ancient text is confidential.
Verse 2
When they say two hundred years ago,
Run amuck, a mutant vegetable.
Now a wasteland, we’re stuck in the middle,
Of a battle for your soul.
Chorus
Cornucopia Modus,
I know why,
The ancient text is confidential.
I know why.
The artichoke’s experimental.
Cornucopia Modus.
Verse 3
Whose to save our city from evil?
Young knight in an armored mask.
Seeking out some help from Lizard House,
Restore Bamboozle Tesseract.
Chorus
Cornucopia Modus,
I know why,
The ancient text is confidential.
I know why,
The artichoke’s experimental.
Cornucopia,
Cornucopia Modus.

Verse 1
Psilocybin chemicals come up from underneath,
The remnants of seedlings grow slowly round your feet.
Deep in the ground moldy molecules retreat,
So, long depraved inside the cave where life and death meet.
Far ago the gnomes had fled the city in a cry,
When mutant mushrooms caramelized, and poison filled the sky.
Down into the depths, they had no choice left but to hide.
Away they stay, until the day their hero would arrive.
Chorus A
Hey! Here’s unto the day!
That colorful sun!
For once you’re alive again,
When you climb out underneath the ground.
(you see me, its alright, you see me, in sunlight)
Verse 2
Now, below the land is where the gnomes have come to dwell,
Living amongst the muck and moss, they’re plotting to rebel.
Who in the Valley can stop this awful spell?
A warrior brave is coming to save us from this rotten smell.
Chorus A
Hey! Here’s unto the day!
That we’ve overcome!
Here’s unto the day!
That colorful sun!
(you see me, its alright, you see me, in sunlight)
For once you’re alive again,
When you climb out underneath the ground.
Chorus B
Memories,
They’re going to eat us whole,
Those same old stories you tell,
Battles long ago.
Those fading memories,
They’re going to eat us whole,
Those same old stories you tell,
Battles long ago.
Bridge
These hands, all closed,
No sight, no sound.
There’s no light, deep in the ground.
There’s no light, underneath.
Verse 3
Rumor has it there’s a race of people in the hills,
Who raise a crop of Forthinglocks and laughing daffodils.
Built up a village made of mighty windmills,
Around it they made a barricade in case that something spills.
The gnomes would send their bravest up into the hinterland,
To find a valiant warrior and ask him to join the band.
Bring him back and train him for the daring task at hand,
And teach him of this apocalypse the mutants have planned.
Chorus A
Hey! Here’s unto the day!
That we’ve overcome!
All covered in rain!
That colorful sun!
(you see me, its alright, you see me, in sunlight)
For once you’re alive again,
When you climb out underneath the ground.
Chorus B
Memories,
They’re going to eat us whole,
Those same old stories you tell,
Battles long ago.
Those fading memories,
They’re going to eat us whole,
Those same old stories you tell,
Battles long ago.

The Vegetable Tribe
04:09
|
|||
Verse 1
Windmill how round you spin.
Bright sail through morning wind.
Chorus
I’d wake in fields of our dreaming.
I’d wake.
Verse 2
Our tribe in peaceful times,
Your woes will not be mine.
Chorus
I’d wake in fields of our dreaming.
I’d rake the leaves left behind.
I’d make those sprouts everlasting.
I’d wake in a bounty full of fruit and vegetables.
Bridge A
I implore you good sir, we are in dire.
Those mutant vegetables will set the hills on fire.
It’s been far too long, now we must hire,
A young sapling like you could tap the wire.
We have found a strange machine,
Beneath the dirt, do you know what it means?
Come this way with me back down to the cavern,
Grab your bag and hold up thine gilded lantern.
Narration
Following the gnomes back to their hidden cave, our young warrior, Jinx Loon, prepared for his harrowing journey. With only a lantern light to guide the way, they scaled the hillside of the windmill village and made their way down to the dark lair. The gnomes had discovered a strange ancient machine buried in the dirt of a forgotten corridor and pleaded for the youngling’s help. Unknowing what dangers lied before him, Jinx Loon followed the gnomes and stepped into the darkness…
Bridge B
Freedom rings ‘ore the valley through the hills.
Glistening with Forthinglocks and daffodils.
Gracefully go now to our sacred home.
Underneath to my City of the Gnome.
Verse 3
Windmill how round you spin.
Bright sail through morning wind.
Chorus
I’d wake in fields of our dreaming.
I’d rake the leaves left behind.
I’d make those sprouts everlasting.
I’d wake in a bounty full of fruit and vegetables.

Jinx Loon
03:57
|
|||
Verse 1
Heals on the wind swept around me,
Softly whisper,
Here everchanging they listen.
Pealed through a chamber of groundlings,
Pardon mister,
Have you no eyes for misfortune?
Wheels of an old wagon turning,
Torches burning,
All hoping I’m one to save them.
Freed from the turbulent water,
Pardon mister,
Have you no change for unfortunate men?
Pre -Chorus
Mr. Loon, leaving so soon? We made a soup with cardamom.
Sip the spoon, whistle the tune, sprinkle the stew with tarragon.
Guard the knife with your life. You buy the hat; you try it on.
Thou have a quest you doth set out upon.
Chorus
Jinx Loon is the chosen one,
Just as the prophecy stated.
They will be on the run,
When they see that he’s a natural phenomenon.
Interlude
Slowly raising the utensil to his face, Jinx Loon took a taste of the mixture.
Verse 2
Sincerely, good gnomes I’m sorry,
For the trouble,
But I’m afraid I’m unworthy.
I’m just a poor lowly farm boy,
Not a mister,
I have no change for unfortunate men.
Pre -Chorus
Interlude
At this moment, there were tiny eyes watching Jinx Loon’s every move until the wide stares drew closer and closer. He sat on stalagmite tubes pondering the meaning of life and if he should set out on a dangerous quest to Lizard House.
Bridge
Crave what you will, all be warned, there are mutant vegetables out there.
Through lakes of sand, sunken land, you’ll be crawling.
Interlude
Jinx Loon looked upon the desperate gnomes and decided that he would find the Cornucopia Modus and fix the Tesseract.
Verse 3
Where is the land of the lizard?
Through a blizzard?
Over beyond Zezop Mountain.
Journey to find The Mechanic,
Don’t you panic,
You’ll save the lives of us fortunate men.
Pre -Chorus
Jinx Loon is the chosen one,
Just as the prophecy stated.
They will be on the run.

Verse 1
Juniper moon sailing streams of her dreaming,
Heeding the day, subtle pine scented waves.
Chorus
Brave to make a difference, hold your valor high,
Graced by her kiss many lifetimes I’ve missed,
Kneeling down, thou art noble.
Verse 2
Where goes the dawn’s shifting ways over time?
Gone with the night, wrapped in silver and iron.
Chorus
Brave to make a difference, hold your valor high,
Graced by her kiss many lifetimes I’ve missed,
Kneeling down, thou art noble.

Verse 1
When I was a young, young boy,
Didn’t care for underneath,
With no nightmare to destroy.
Not a beggar man or a thief,
But I know from what is right,
That your tales are my belief.
Chorus
Hail! Hail!
I would never trail from my religion.
Hail! Hail!
I would never fail my own word.

On the road to Lizard House.
Many dangers up ahead,
On a quest to seek them out.
The Mechanic surely has no doubt,
Find the Cornucopia Modus,
Feed a bamboozled mouth.
Chorus
Hail! Hail!
I would never trail from my religion.
Hail! Hail!
I would never fail my own word.

The Mechanic
03:18
|
|||
Verse 1
Hypnotized by his crazed eye,
Looking at your feet
It’s such a long way down.
Getting lost in a maze I’m
Afraid to leave my seat,
And go the other way around.
Turning gears with a strong hand
Building up kaleidoscope
One fractal at a time.
Searching years for instruction,
No need for introduction,
Yeah, I’m technically inclined.
Chorus
Mechanical, a chemical,
Diffusion coming for your soul.
He’s got power to control,
Confusion, electrical fuse.
Verse 2
Broke machine in the city,
Fix up the Tesseract,
Restore utopia.
Must be clever and witty,
We have to find,
The Modus Cornucopia.
Way up on Zezop Mountain,
Fortress of the Ancients
Keeps a burial mound.
From the North we can break in,
Take the olden scroll and
make our way back to the ground.
Chorus
Mechanical, a chemical,
Diffusion coming for your soul.
He’s got power to control,
Confusion, electrical fuse.
Remedy the fall of man,
The Modus holds our only plan.
Chorus
Mechanical, a chemical,
Diffusion coming for your soul.
He’s got power to control,
Confusion, electrical fuse.
Remedy the fall of man,
The Modus holds our only plan.
Remedy the fall of man,
The Modus holds our only plan.

Heady elder, are you home?

Of a thousand dreams.
Make a wish for a million days to stay.

We’ll fix the machine,
With the Cornucopia Modus phrase.

Pythagorum Elders
02:32
|
|||
After finding a mysterious machine in the depths of the gnome caves, our young Jinx Loon set out on his adventure to Lizard House. Trudging through the muck and mire of Sunken Valley, he made it across the barren Strange Lands and found himself at the castle gates and let himself in to find The Mechanic.
The two brave travelers set out to find the Cornucopia Modus at the peak of Zezop Mountain. Protected by the elders who lived there, Jinx Loon pleaded to let them take the ancient scroll back to the ruins of Gnome City and fix the Bamboozle Tesseract. Once repaired, the evil vegetable mutants would be killed and Sunken Valley would be restored to its former glory.
Who goes there?
We have traveled far for the Cornucopia Modus.
Hmmm. Take it, my dear child. And save our Sunken Valley.

Verse 1
Mr. Loon has saved the city folk,
Raised them up a crop of artichoke.
Did it happen all before or
Was it only just a joke,
With no punchline?
From the future, tale we won’t revoke.
Cassowary egg without the yolk,
Now to say a final word
Until it all goes up in smoke,
At the end of time.
Chorus
As the years go by, the stories they go on and on.
It’s the strangest thing, it is a phenomenon.
You’ve got to sing your song and make your art,
With your artichoke heart.

When the Modus takes its turn
And transformations do react,
